Josh and I are extremely lucky to have found the two best photographers on the planet!! Ryan and Heidi are awesome human beings whose photos actually move me. Finding a photographer was definitely one of the hardest choices we've made in the wedding planning process, but just like most of the things we've had to decide on so far, we just knew. Their photos are beautiful with an innocent voyeuristic quality, which I just love! In addition to capturing intimate moments without intruding, they really use the architecture and other objects around the space to create beautiful shots. We had originally planned to do an engagement shoot at High Line Park, but after having to cancel twice because of rain, we decided to do a little dinner party at our apartment instead. I don't know why Josh and I didn't think of this to begin with, since food and cooking practically defines our relationship, but we are so happy that we got to capture those moments instead. Plus, it was at our wonderful little apartment so we really felt at ease and that our photos truly reflect us. *Cheesy note: I just have to add that, after working with Ryan and Heidi and seeing a few of the photos from our shoot, I feel inspired. I know, it's cheesy, but if I wasn't moved, I wouldn't have written about it. It's a beautiful thing to watch someone work creatively. To know that, in their heads, they had an idea and then had the ability to make that idea come alive and be captured on film (digital film?). I've literally been smiling for days! I feel grateful for the rain, excited to see the rest of the engagement photos, and super excited for the wedding and those photos! It makes me want to keep my creative mind working and to keep pursing the things I came here to pursue. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!
